Stop Acting Busy
When I ask people what’s going on in their life, I often get an important-sounding “I’m very busy”.
Do you get a feeling of importance by being busy ? Would you not rather prioritize and focus on what is truly important ?
Everybody can be very busy. There is no value in busyness. There is a value in making a difference, making something that matters.
You can be very busy going to meetings all day and checking your emails every five minutes, or running around without thinking about what you’re doing. At the end of the day, does this translate to anything meaningful ?
I want to say all these things. But there is a right time for everything. And so I just smile, stir my coffee, and go back to what I was doing.
